About this event

  • Date and time Tue 4 Mar 2025 from 8:45am to 4:15pm
  • Location Royal Society of Medicine
  • Organised by Cardiology

Join this event that will equip coronary intervention trainees with the skills to perform contemporary Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) confidently. Key topics include Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) imaging, calcium assessment, device selection, and optimising outcomes with atherectomy. Highlights include an interactive live case with Prof. James Spratt and Dr Maciej Marciniak, hands-on workshops, and expert-led discussions.

Participants can present their own cases for review, focusing on IVUS lesion preparation, post-stent outcomes, or challenging calcium cases. Gain practical insights, refine decision-making skills, and learn from leading experts in coronary intervention.

By attending this event, you will learn:

  • How to use IVUS to assess the lesion and determine the most appropriate vessel preparation
  • How to use IVUS to assess stent deployment and determine whether further optimisation is required
  • How to assess calcium and select the most appropriate device
  • How to use atherectomy to maximise outcomes
